Thanksgiving Day hasn't been very thankful so far. My cat got hit by a car last night. Husband was feeding the feral cats on the deck at 2:30 am and Tucker jumped over him and escaped into the night. :( So far, costs are $3,000 and rising as he has to get pins in his front leg. Amputating the leg is not an option. I'll be listing many more of my creations in the coming days, so please bear with the "Ad" content of my posts.

waves to all my old friends<

Waving back to my first swap bracelet partner. I hope your cat gets over the ordeal soon. Hugs Shirley

You certainly have my sympathy! My cat just recently recovered from an operation to treat a hematoma on his ear... now one ear is floppy... but he's still a sweetheart. My bill was considerably less, but it's still hard to come up with funds for an unexpected emergency like that! Hugs,

Thanks so much, Shirley, Karleen & Jerri. :)

Tucker is home now, eating well and sleeping a LOT. The emergency vets gave him an opiate patch to control the pain... so I guess it's no magnetic clasp jewelry for him! lol Thanks again to everyone. Linda

I'm glad to hear that Tucker is back at home :-) Good luck with his recovery and your fundraising. Will the vet let you pay on a monthly plan? It's so hard to suddenly have that much money on hand. Is it possible to get pet insurance where you live too?

Best, Christine

Thank you, Christine. There is a monthly payment plan that you can apply for through some kind of credit company, but we used a charge card instead. And I can get pet insurance on Tucker - he's young enough but the premiums are over $26.00 a month. I haven't decided yet if this is the way to go. Thanks again! :) Linda
