Had to have the Step Dad put in the hospital today. Then had to take my Mom to the doctors.Took 2 hours to get in to see the doctor. He is a cardiac doctor and he is always late. But we love him and its worth the wait. My Mom is a diebetic also. Its just been a very stressful day. My step dad may not be here for long. His body is just worn out. He has had all that can be done to keep his heart going. Along with his heart being bad his mind is slipping and he is starting to fall. He was sitting at the table this morning while Mom cooked his breakfast and he fainted and fell out of the chair. It took forever for them to get him back into the chair. So very sad. Hugs Irene

Awwww I am so sorry to hear that both your Mom and Step Dad are having such a difficult time. Prayers going out for you all. Hopefully that tropical storm isn't going to pound you guys to add to the stress you already have going!!

Irene, my thoughts and prayers are with you and yours!! I am also saddened by your news too. I have to imagine you feared hearing the news as your mom has it too. That is truly one of the fears I have in getting over the hill, OK, OLD!! It is hard enough watching the coloestrol now. No eggs and liitle dairy. That is why there was n cheese in my parmesan, but it was deliciuous as it was!!

Oh Irene, I'm so sorry to hear this. Keeping you and your loved ones in my thoughts and prayers. My dad also suffers from his heart. They discovered that he had a huge Potasium ( a type of mineral) shortage, which made things worse. Maybe it's worth a shot to get your Step Dad tested for it....
