People seem to think it's cool but the truth is that it isn't good web design. (Sorry to those who have used black background.)

Exactly! The only thing worse is when they use multi-colored tecxt on said black background. Why not make it flash while they are at it?

LOL! no. but there's so much of it, some people must like it. maybe that's a good thing. something for everyone. i mean, the sites my son visits, i wouldn't go near.

You can't blame Michelle for the backgrounds, her brother (Kevin) does her website for her. :-) (He also posted for her.)

I personally find the black very classy looking, and not hard on the eyes. But my eyes are so bad, who knows... :-) To each his/her own.

Michelle does gorgeous work - I've taken her class, and seen it in person - she gets great pics for her auctions, but they're even better in person. :-) And yes, she has great prices on Swarovski. :-)

i'm not "blaming" anyone, really. i just don't understand why so many "art-type" sites use black backgrounds.
