Thanks, the faux wood is really fun to do, especially if you try to make it look like an actual wood, or use some color to give it a weathered paint look. The pieces sell better when people can see it in person. I sold lots of them in Tucson. The "wood" makes great mini furniture too.

Just beautiful Cheryl! I tend to favor the reds and purples, but that wood is very cool too! I used to do a lot of stuff with faux ivory, and like you said, you just have to see it in person to get the full effect. So much more depth than the photo can capture. I would love to be organized enough one day to be able to go back to using my clay. It's been 2 years this month since I've done anything with it and it's really starting to call my name.

I think I'll be continuing the clay even if I don't need to later on, if I'm lucky enough to get to where I make sellable lampwork beads. There's still alot to be done with the clay. I miss your cat drawings! They are so cool and I don't remember anyone else doing cat drawings on clay, except me of course! But mine were transfers of larger drawings, not drawn right on the clay. I can't draw that small anymore because of my thumb problems. Luckily lampworking doesn't aggravate that joint!
You know what would be really cool is that you could do your clay and make glass beads to go with it. Make your own accent spacers. Hey, I can do that too! Woohoo!
Thanks Dawn!
