Hello Su: My fave is Delft Tile, but Amethyst Coral is a nice colour combo, I'll bet it was a challenge to photograph! good luck with the shows!

You're the nicest guy, you always have the time to say something good and complimentary to everyone.

I have to admit I love the Delft Tile beads too, I love blue & white glass and ceramics. I always feel a real connection to them as we lived for years on the canals that were part of the first Staffordshire water transport system, and when I see things like English blue & white antiques or Staffordshire pottery or even Wedgwood I always get a little bit of fun out of thinking that every piece of that passed along the same stretch of water where I was.

Yup, the amethyst and coral was a bear to photograph, I wasn't totally pleased with the pictures but I'm learning slowly. Sloooooooooowly!

He's really taken to glass and the reverse. I tried torching but sadly it didn't do the same for me but that's ok, he's happy to be the glass part of the equation.

It's been almost two years now since I came here to rcb looking for stuff, and when I saw the lampwork... WHAM.

We're on the same wave here, Su. I 'm a sucker for all the things you mentioned pottery wise. That's an interesting observation about how goods used to get to their destinations, and you are fortunate to have that connection with the water. I too have spent a good part of my life on and around water. Thanks for the note about my bead, I always wonder what people do with them, and I appreciate hearing about their final destination! David

Come over to the UK sometime, David and we'll take you along the canals and you can see Mr Wedgwood's big ditch.

I love the connections with history that are around us everywhere. I spent a wonderful day in the British Museum recently looking at beads and more beads.

Poor thing! Let it thaw out, I think I read somewhere that they can survive that sort of thing or is it wishful thinking?

I was going to tell you to come to see us at the craft fair last Sunday in Hartington but I knew it would be too horribly cold. We're there again next Sunday if you're up to a short drive, it's not nearly as far as coming up to the studio to see us.

We're there again in June but that's way too long to wait to see you, it should definitely be warmed up by then!

It's quite small but in a very pretty location in the Hartington Village Hall.
