<AD> MAWGA Lampwork on Ebay

Nov 07, 2003 16 Replies

Four new auctions this week. I did a another version of Fallen Oak from the last auctions, but this time in black. It turned out to be a very dressy looking set. I've been having lots of fun making that style in several color combinations. I don't know why I always do this. If I'm having fun making a style, I just can't seem to stop.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Mary Ann -- how about a link, my dear?

Hi Becki, Sorry, I meant to put a link to my auctions as well and got an itchy trigger finger. The link I have in my signature is to the gallery page of my auctions and buy it now items on Ebay. Here is the link directly to my auction page:

The Queen's Heart set is so yummy I can't stop drooling.

Thanks guys! I am thinking of trying some of my designs in soft glass. I haven't worked with it in so long, I'm afraid they will all end up looking like big glass drips :->. I've also gotten some vaseline (or uranium) glass that I'm going to start experimenting with. The first time I tried pulling a stringer with it, I almost ended up with it in my lap. It doesn't firm up as quickly as boro and it just kept stretching, and stretching until I had what looked like a small jumprope of hot glass approaching my (unprotected) lap :->.

Eeeeeek! Can't wait to see what you do with soft glass, Mary Ann. :) Just keep it out of your lap! Ouch! LOL

LOL! I got a chunk of that, too! Came last Wednesday, and I still haven't figured out what I want to do with it. Thanks for the heads-up re: it's nature. LOL! I still had the blacklight out from our Hallowe'en decorating, and WOW! That glass ROCKS under blacklight!!!!

I'm thinking it would make great rings for my Saturn...

Duh. Please make that "its" instead of "it's". I know better. *hanging head*

Anal-retentive? Who, ME? And by the way, is anal-retentive supposed to be hyphenated? ;-)

And they are a perfect example, for me, of a set of mixed/matched beads, in that they are all black and white with red, including beads that are all black and white, and beads that are all red.

Tink you might not have the same problem since you've been working with soft glass. It's just been so long that I'd forgotten just how "soft" it is! You'll have to let me know how it compares with Moretti.

I've been starting to chunk up some of the opaque stuff for the website. I really like the looks of this in "raw" form. It takes on a different look in beads. Sort of opalescent. Nice look, and VERY subtle color. Creamy.

I have a piece on the way... I can't wait!
