AD: new beads up and yes I am going to bed now!

I have no idea why I am so compelled to stay up all hours putting beads on my website, but... there they are! I have been really, really fixated on COLOR lately, and have been doing lots of layering to get intense colors in deceptively simple beads. Color and form... the perfect simplicity of a round or donut bead in a single, brilliant color with depth and shading and texture has been calling to me, so I am doing the bidding of my Muse and bringing forth a lot of etched beads that seem to have a sort of inner glow, and quite a few "sugared" beads too. I found a lot of inspiration on my road trip, and I'm looking forward to working on new ideas this week... all of them focus on color, texture, and a pleasing simplicity. Remember the Arts and Crafts movement? The pursuit of aesthetic perfection through the harmony of function and form was held in high esteem, and I am starting to really process that aesthetic. I have spent so long pursuing technical mastery that the idea of spending some time exploring the possibilities inherent in pure design is very exciting!

I am clearly rambling, and must go to bed. Please do check out my new beadies, if you have time... link is in my sig!

"The volcano part was amazing. Mt. Lassen in California is a giant cinder-cone that erupted in 1915, spraying lava and ash and rocks for miles, and it is just... WOW. I can't believe they just let people drive up there! It has big, steaming sulphurous vents that burble and blort and hiss, and you can walk RIGHT UP to them. You would think, having been right here during the eruption of Mt. St. Helens, that I would be sort of jaded on active volcanos, but I thought it was one of the coolest things I have ever seen!" do you realize how CLOSE you were to ME???????????

you don't know how much i want some of those!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but i've got to sit on my hands for the moment!

Wow, the glow beads are fantastic!! I especially like the olive one... very beautiful! And of course, anything bright screams out at me, so I had to look at the Fuchsia and the Juice first! Yum! :)

I love the Olive Amber. It looks really soft with the etching. Great Choice! Try more color combos like that! It is always a treat to see what your creativity brings out. I can't wait for the next batch.

We are having a large garage sale in October maybe then I can splurge on something!

Just a few... and actually, those aren't really new. All the beads that are unsold from my site go to eBay... fewer and fewer each week, nowadays!
