Barbara Otterson? TV?

I've been out of touch for awhile. How did it go? Such a huge talent - I've been praying for this success, and wondered .

Not yet, not yet. It's this Thursday. If I didn't make the date clear, it's because my head isn't. I scheduled the MRI the neurologist wants of my brain for next Monday (not tomorrow!), because I want to do the TV thing and the show it will be promoting beforehand. That way if there's anything wrong other than just post-concussion crap, I won't stop me from availing myself of this wonderful opportunity. Barbara Dream Master

My puppy and I just did a "good vibes to Barbara" dance on the front porch. It may not help, but it was sure fun! LOL! Looking forward to hearing all about it!

It must have worked. The interview went wonderfully. The editing was almost perfect. The segment was great. Even I thought I looked good, and I'm my worst critic. The show aired twice, at 3 PM and 1:30 AM. Then I heard from numerous people at the show today that they showed most of it on the channel 5 news at 6 AM and 9 AM today! All-in-all, I must have had over 200 people come by my booth and tell me they saw me on TV. Sales were good, but on the low end. Only one item over 100.00 sold. Really weird. But the last 4 years at this show, Sunday was the best sales day. So here's hoping for a slam-bang sales day on Sunday! Barbara Dream Master

It's a wrap. As usual, fewer sales on Sunday, but for bigger bucks. I love it when some woman tries on a necklace, likes it and then her husband says, "do you like it? Here, let me get it for you", then hands me hundred dollar bills to pay for it. Now if I could just find a way to make that a weekly event........... Thanks for all the great thoughts. Well, it used to be that way. Now the DH says, "Do you think it'll fit over your collar?" and if the answer is yes, the next question is always, "Can you make it or get it from one of your wholesale suppliers or the beady ladies?"

The answer to the second question is invariably "yes" as well. Sigh. He's sweet about it, he always tells me to buy what I need/want and take the money from his account (we have his, mine and ours). It's not really the same, though.

OTOH, he and the girls gave me the coolest thing for my birthday. Because I have a husband and two teenagers in the house, the odds of my ever getting any snack foods are slim to none. Especially if it's "good stuff," like Reese's cups, German chocolate, almonds, things of that nature. As part of my birthday surprise, they filled a great big gift bag with all my favorite stuff, and marked every wrapper with my name. I have a big old bag of junk food sitting on my beading table and no one has even looked through it (besides me).

AWWW!

So, what's the update on how long you have to wear the beastly collar?

I've been wearing it for sleeping, beading and whenever I'm in pain. Essentially, I have to wear it whenever I'm in the house. I absolutely refuse to wear it in public.
