I was always told I was found on the beach after a big storm. Gotta love parents (especially dad's) for messing with a child's mind (but in this house it's my job - ex- told the kids that when Santa showed up we played cards with him )

My mom used to tell me I was named after a dog. My stepdad told me I had to eat the crusts on my bread cuz it puts hair on your chest. (I still avoid eating alot of crusts - the mental image is NOT pretty.)
