beaded Flower Hyacinth

I found this hyacinth I had created a couple of years ago as a gift, but I wanted to make three. This one took so long I didn't know if I would get the chance to finish two more.

This is beaded with 10/0 Blue Sapphire Czech beads from Blue moon Beads. I love the consistancy in the beads. I have even done peyote in these beads and love the outcome. The flower is around 5 inches in length. There are around 33 individual flowers attached to make one large flower. I used the design from:

I love the style of these flowers more than other french beaded flowers I have seen. The petals seem more realistic than the illusion of a flower. I once made 1/2 dozen roses with the design featured at this website. I did not make the baby's breath. I make some small improvements to the rose design. The two inner petals 1 row smaller. Then three petals as described and the last three one row larger. This makes it even more realistic. I do not have a picture of the roses, but I do plan on making another set soon to give to my mother.

One of my favorite things is making something massive out of those tiny little seed beads.

Simply beautiful, Amy. :) I think it would look perfect in a tiny bud vase... after all the hyacinth plant only sends up one bloom per plant anyway. :))))
