Trying Beaded Flip Flop

Sep 09, 2004 9 Replies

I saw the post about the flip flop and I said hey I can do that! So I am currently working on a pair. I have finished one side of one shoe. I am so excited! I have been wanting and needing new shoes, but could not think of an inexpensive way to get them. Now I have a way to get beautiful shoes at a fraction of the cost! Just a lot of time. If this does well you will see more!

I will send pictures once it is done.

I am also working on 3 necklaces for a wedding this weekend. I have finished a bracelet for my Sister in law. I am hoping it fits! I will take pics today. Today is the day of pictures.

I have a pair of flipflops that I beaded with tons of branchy coraly fringe....I keep getting offers to buy them...one woman offered me $40!! (and they're made with cheapo "e" beads!)

Cool! Beaded sandals and flip flops always look so classy and pretty to me.

You know those shoes you can get at Target and such like, the clog type with felted uppers? I was wondering if a body could bead something like that as well. Would it look stupid? Diana

Hmmmm. I wonder how beaded Sorrels would look.

Fringe, baby fringe them! :=)

Sounds cute to me. As in "cute outfit", not "too cute, I'm going to barf." ~~ Sooz To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong. ~~Joseph Chilton Pearce

what if i beaded a copy of those little boys and girls popular in the 60s, with oversized eyes and puppies next to them? Would that meet the cute=barf requirements? ;-) Diana

I too love the beaded flip flops. Let us know how they turn out and any tips you can give after you are done with the process.
