What are Butter Shrewsbury Biscuits. If you bite into one, will you find shrews (rodents)?

Tina

I'm in Colorado, can see the Rockies from my back yard. You bring the cream, or stop at the Dairy across the highway from here. Don't arrive before 8am, other than that its fine, bring beads..... Sarajane

One of my faves for cold weather and especially for sore throats/congestion is to chop a little ginger into a cup of boiled water along with a spoonful of honey and a teeny bit of cayenne pepper. Really good, really makes your throat feel better too. Sarajane

A woman after my own heart! Now try putting a touch of cayenne and cinnamon into chocolate cookies! Yeah baby!

Its what gives the cookies their crunch. Diana

oh yeah, I DO that! I also use chocolate and cayenne in my devils food cake. Sarajane

ok, if i leave virginia at 6 a.m., barring any traffic jams or acts of God, i should be there in.......3 days?

If I skimp on the cake a little there will be plenty to share... oh heck, this cake tastes just great without frosting...two spoons coming up! Diana

Something I learned to bake at school. I suppose they originated from Shrewsbury a place in UK. They are a rich biscuit made with butter, eggs, sugar and flour and flavouring. Rolled out thin and baked to a light golden colour. Shirley

Bad girl. I like you.

Tina

Sounds wonderful. And for those who don't know, cookies are called biscuits in England and (often) Canada.

Tina

I will find the recipe and post it. Shirley
