Does anyone know how these are made? Are they glass, as they seem less fragile than glass, having said that, I've not dropped one yet :-) I love them!!

Fiber optic beads are made out of fiber optic cable, the same stuff used in telephone wires. They are dyed in various hues, some like the purple are ok, the orange (I think) is horrendous. Patti
