Freebie Winner

After I saw some comments I changed the name of my drawings to Weekly Freebies. See I do listen to you guys.

Tonight's winner is Jerry Hall. Jerry will be receiving the Raku leaf on my website.

The winner for the 16th will receive a small set of the leaves with a lentil. I'm thinking about adding some boro beads to that drawing as well.

Haw!

Actually, yeah, I do have comments. And Kyla could probably answer this too. First you have to be tall, and *extremely* thin -- VERY. You think you are? Lose ten pounds anyway! HAW. Sheesh. The idea is to resemble a praying mantis.

They look at bone structure, and your skin....but they look at photos most of all, because some very purty people don't photograph well. And some more ordinary-looking ones do. There is some magic involved, I think....no one really understands this part.

They also want you very young so they can make money off you for a long time -- and so you're malleable. You would be shocked to know how young a lot of the gals in Vogue, etc, really are. Oh, and one more thing ---

There isn't *anyone* who really looks like the women in magazines. They work on them for hours to prepare for those photos, and have staff standing by for touch ups. Then they light them to look gorgeous (I don't know anyone IRL who can afford to be followed around by lighting techs). Then they choose to publish the pics that are the best out of several hundred! And THEN they retouch them digitally -- they brighten the whites of the eyes, the teeth, remove any blemishes or shadows on the face, etc. etc. etc. etc. What you see cannot be obtained in Reality. In other words -- NO ONE REALLY LOOKS LIKE THAT. Not even those women. ~~ Sooz To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong. ~~Joseph Chilton Pearce
