Lovely to hear from you after all this time. My DH was 75 last Dec.

I am afraid there are not many spoons out there now, I think I cornered the market before. I still have a few spare ones somewhere around.

I am at the moment doing a Digital Imaging course at the local Adult education centre. It was a 71st birthday present from my DH.

I have tried my hand at quilting and have a full sized top ready to baste to the backing. Trouble is finding a table large enough to do it. I cannot get down on the floor anymore.

Post often now you are back Hugs Shirley

Not that I really collect spoons. A few years ago I bought an antique salt spoon to use for shovelling up beads. Then I hit on the idea of enclosing one in swap parcels with friends on RCB. I called it Shirley's Spoon Club. Everybody seemed to adore them for their versatility. Shirley

Hey Shirley, why don't you try a quilting frame? It stretches the quilt as you work on it, and rolls up the ends you aren't working on. And you can sit under it to work.

I don't know if this one is any good, just an idea of what I mean:

Thanks for the advice but I am machine quilting it. It is a double bed size. Hand quilting would take me too long and I am sure I would lose interest in it. It would be another UFO then.

I am getting to the stage in my life where I should stop buying things and use up what I have got and get rid of others.

There is an antique fair on today with half price admission. I am debating whether to go or not. One half of me wants to go, but the other half says I shall probably come home with yet another crystal necklace. That would be added to the twenty or so I already have. LOL Weather wise it is not a bad morning for me to drive there. Shirley
