Hi to the Crew

Hi to those who knew me from before and hi to those I don't know at all!! My name is Becki and I am a beader from Ohio, transplanted to CA. For the oldies but goodies like me: I haven't had a computer at home in a long time, but i have one now. It is nice to be able to come here and reconnect with the jewelry world.

I have been making quite a bit of jewelry and selling it all to folks with whom I used to work. My old jobs are still paying off!!!!! This has been quite a blessing as I am not making as much now as I have in the past and it is very expensive to live here in CA. I don't have scans but may take a few of the ones I particularly like. I was hoping to get some off to a gallery in Ohio, but keep selling the stuff before it gets there!!! LOL. I'm not as prolific as I used to be -- I make stuff in spurts.

Right now I am making multi-colored pastel jewelry. Go figure. Will scan one and show it to you.

Glad to be BACK and hope to be able to stay this time!!!

love you all -- Becki

Becki sweetie darling!!!!!!! It's wonderful to see you. I think of you so often and I've worried a time to two.

What are you doing and where are you in CA, now? We were planning a trip to the LA area til gas prices went insane. I think now we're gonna limit ourselves to daytrips around AZ. But I could be bribed......every time I do a bead show I think of you!

Mucho hugs! KarenS

Hi to Shirely, Barbara and to those who have emailed me!!! Nice to be back also.

Karen -- did you and Mike get MARRIED???? COOL!! I loved your beach set on Justbeads. I'm in Redwood City these days and working in Menlo Park.

Can't get the scanner to work with my new (used) laptop so there will be no pictures of jewelry. At least not for now.

Hey, toots! Welcome back! I also think of you often. I had a photo of one of your donut necklaces from EONS ago - - and I looked at it all the time for inspiration (you know, eye candy!). Can't look at a (stone) donut without thinking of you! LOL!

Yup, we sure did, last year on Valentine's Day.

I went kicking and screaming for some goofy reason, and kept telling friends it was a shotgun wedding cuz we were about to have......a mortgage. We've been in our brand-new home for just over a year. It's a terrific house, we'll finally have the backyard landscaped by the end of this week and it's just right for the 4 of us. The only BUT is that a friggin Walmart is supposed to be built right across the street. We're fighting it tooth and nail....and making plans for our "empty nest dream house" up in the mountains in the meantime.

I'm so glad you've resurfaced, I've missed you!!!

Hi, Becki--

Not sure when/if this will show up, because my provider is "upgrading" the server (supposed to have been completed 4 days ago) and I can't send email--but I'm glad to see you back. I always used to enjoy your posts.

Welcome back, Becki! I don't get in here much any more. Life has just taken over, now that it can. I definitely missed you and thought of you from time to time. Good to see you here again!

It's still me, but I'm trying to use the Jenn part more now..LOL. I have both names in my siggy, so that people would still know who they're talking to.

Hi Becki,

I'm so happy to see you back. I have missed you very much. Like Susan in VA, I have some pictures of your work I keep as inspirational eye candy. Would love to see what you're making now.

And what kind of job/work do you do now. I hope the move to Calif will be something positive in your life, even if the going has been rocky.

Much love,

Tina

``````````````````````` Tina, I think the way hardest part of Becki's move to CA was when she lived with us for a while. Poor Becki!
Sooz -- you have GOT to be kidding.
I tell everyone i know that the reason I still live in a motel is because it is the nicest place i have lived in since I left Ohio EXCEPT for when I stayed with Sooz and Kevin. Which also had the advantage of being FREE!!! LMAO. Both nice and free -- hard to beat that in any part of the world!!!
I loved being with you. It was living with all the black mold off Solono Avenue that just about did me in.
Tinarina -- I am a temp in a venture capital/property management firm. Have been trying to get into VC for quite some time now. It doesn't pay very well, but they are considering hiring me and that is all I ask. They have some rather stiff issues to get past their board (not about me, but some difficult board members and a change to an "S" corporation) so it may be a while before I get a chance to apply for the job. As the job does not yet exist. LOL. However, I am happy and healthy and living in the sunshine.
This weekend, I took a jaunt down Woodside Drive, which is also route
84, and ended up driving through woods and mountains to the ocean. I am just STUNNED by California. Love it here.
Thanks for asking!!!
No threats, just bribes. Kevin knows me well enough to know you can pay me to do anything.
LMAO
