How do you store your beading wire?

I am trying to clean up my beading stuff and am at a loss as to how to conveniently store my beading wire spools. I keep all my beading stuff in sectioned plastic cases that then fit into two large tool boxes. So far so good until I look at all the wire that is laying rather willy nilly in the bottom of the "still needing to be organized" toolbox.

Are there cases for spools of this stuff? Maybe a small fishing tackle box of some kind?

Any ideas gratefully accepted.

Sandy,

with memory wire it's of course a bit easier than with most wire, but I mostly use twist ties and sandwich bags. I have a few clear round containers from grocery stores that would be about the right size but one of those has my 'currently open' findings in it in smaller bags and one of them is full of brown Job's Tears. I use just about any sort of round containers with clear or transparent lids - and some with non-transparent lids - that's the right size to fit into a square or rectangular bucket. The rectangular buckets from cat litter are the right size to fit behind the seats of my pickup truck and as they stack well they are easy to take to the market (put a piece of plywood on top and you have a market table as well) ...

Hope this is of any use to you.

I just saw a little article in the latest issue of...er, I guess it was Step by Step Wire Jewelry, and several neat items were mentioned for storing wire, including scrapbookers' clear plastic storage books. Maybe the blurb is on their website, if not, it's near the front of the latest issue.
