I am back!!

I am back with you again.. I have not been well for some months. It appears that medicine I take to stop my blood from clotting and prevent clots in my stents, has done its job rather too well. Now my blood as gone very thin and takes ages to clot so after a small accident I ended up with a massive haematoma and a bruise that covered a large area. I am a bit between the devil and the deep blue sea since I cannot stop taking them because if I get a clot in my stents it is goodbye Shirley. Between us the doctor and I have decided that I shall take 1/2 dose and see if that helps. Also with the other side effects of extreme tiredness , vertigo and the small bleeds I get in my eyes.

I have not felt like doing any crafts lately, however Jerri's Tree of Life made me look up. I have done two of the pendants and they are on my website under beadwork. URL in signature line. Hugs Shirley

oh Shirley, its wonderful to see you here...I hope you find JUST the right levels to give you properly thick-but-not-TOO-much-so blood levels. And then you can get back to that secret life as a roller derby queen....and whatever else you choose to do! waving to you happily from across the pond, Sarajane

Medical science pats itself on the back rather too much, I think. It's not as advanced as it likes to think. As Dr. McCoy on Star Trek said (in the 4th Star Trek movie, about the whales), when he was in a 20th century hospital -- "It's the goddam Spanish Inquisition!" Then he gave a woman a pill that totally regenerated her kidneys. She was calling out, "I'm CURED! I'm CURED!" (He passed the pills to her like a dealer to a junkie, it was so funny)

I pray for you all the time, Shirley Girl. ~SMOOCH~

I'm with Sooz. How is it they can't know these things before they prescribe the drugs? Women's hormones piss me off -- they should know how to balance the things, not make us human guinea pigs. Try this, then if that doesn't work, try that. Shoot cars work better than that!!!

Love you, Shirley. You keep fighting the good fight and thank you so much for coming here and posting. You (and Jerri's tree of life pendants, which I also loved) have made me want to go make jewelry.

Oh my goodness, Shirley. I am so sorry. That must have been very frightening. My thoughts and prayers are with you tht they come up with just the right drug "cocktail" to keep everyting balanced and get you back on your feet. Vertigo is awful. I had an extreme case for a week when Ann was little.

Shirley,

I'm so sorry you've been unwell!! I hope your medication is straightened out now and you're feeling better.

Your trees are wonderful! Aren't they fun? What is the pink stone? I'd love to get some of that one! I'm thinking a pink and white tree would be really pretty too!

I do not know what it is but I will ask. A friend of mine who has an ebay store sent me a bag with the little chips in. There was a strand of peridot and the others were mixed. Since she gifted me the beads I am going to give her the Apple tree one. I will ask her what the pink is. Shirley

Dearest Madame Tassel,

Your pinky tassel was one of the very first things I unpacked after the move. It always stars in the guest room so I can show it off to visitors.

If women were the dominant gender, things would be in a different state. Many people still think of women as the weaker sex and not worth bothering with. I think because a lot of our issues are emotional (god forbid!), they are not given the attention they deserve. It's like we are making it up. Bast...ds!

Oh Shirley (((((hugs))))) I'm so sorry to hear about the meds making life hard for you. :-(

The trees are gorgeous though! I'm glad that you were able to find some strength and joy enough to do those.

Much love,
