Hey I hope I am back

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I have been away for quite sometime. Busy with life in general and just have not had the time to read or post. In Sept. I try to download the group and couldn't so I finally got it figured out what was wrong and tonight is my first night/day back.

I have missed you all very much, for those that have lost loved ones, I am sorry and if I can be of any help please let me know, for those that are sick, I send my best wishes for a full recovery.

For the new folks, well I am not much of a quilter but am doing my best to learn.

Didn't get to do anything over the summer because my father wanted to sit on the back porch all the time. So guess who had to sit with him. You guessed right, ME. I am so glad that it is turning cold and we are coming into the house now. Once I get it cleaned up, having company in a week, I am going to start working on a project.

Cat, I am sorry your eyesight in preventing you from reading the groups, I know the feeling I have been there myself. I just hope my lasts a little while longer, but pray it lasts a lot longer.

Love you all and missed everyone,

Jacqueline in KY Jacqueline in Kentucky, USA

Glad to see you again. Have you tried a bit of hand sewing for when you can't use the machine/be inside? I always have a bit around for such occasions and for for watching tv on winter evenings. I like doing foundation piecing using stitch and tear as the foundation, or even just handquilting a small ready printed panel - thats a really good way to practice handquilting too (I dont use a frame which makes it even more portable). Anything really will stop the itchy fingers! Jinny Beyer does her magnificent quilts all by hand - but thats way beyond me! If you wanted something where you really didn't have to concentrate or cut anything as you went along, just a simple Rail Fence.

So glad to see you back! I've been busy myself and am trying to work on a quilt for us since what passes for winter here in FL is coming up. Right now the weather is gorgeous, breezy with a lot of the heat and humidity gone. I may go back out into the yard and wallow around some more, pulling weeds or watching for the next monarch butterfly to emerge! Welcome back!

I don't know if I'm back, gone or here. My rctq messages are mostly coming in 're' and it's impossible to figure out re what. Is there a full moon or something? Polly

Well, what is Polly doing in NV? Send her home to the swamp! ;-)

re means reply. So you're getting replies, but not the original messages. That is usually an ISP problem and nothing you can fix. Debra in VA See my quilts at
