I just learned brick stitch

I just learned brick stitch (boy was that frustrating) from a book. This is my third or fourth pair of brick stitch earrings and I'm quite proud of them..

'm rewarding myself by buying some nice Japanese seed beads so I can do nicerwork in the future. I made this out of cheq. glass beads and had some trouble with their uniformity and getting them to go over the needle.

I used plain yellow sewing thread, the nylon thread I have is too thin and tangles too much. I sanded the sharp point off my beading needle today because the needle went through the middle of the thread a few times and made it impossible to undo any work that needed fixing. That helped a lot.

They're niiice. :)

I get frustrated with brick stitch that I end up giving up. As a result, I have about 5 pairs of half-finished earrings (one day!).

However you seem to have used size 11. I use "small" (?15) because the earrings look "finer". That's probably why I get so frustrated.... :P
