Valerie the wire I used is coloured copper wire.
0.20mm. I got it in silver and different shades of gold and bronze. It was made by the Scientific Wire Company.
I got it through a mail order firm called Texere yarns

I have just looked at their site and they have more colours in. I must order a few more. I have used them for getting swingy threads to make my tassel skirts.Shirley
