Thanks, Patti, for posting about the show in Edison. I hope everyone in the area will come out to say hello. Innovative shows have a nice variety of vendors, lots of strings of stones and pearls, Venetian glass beads, good Indian silver, and of course lampwork by Laura and me, Keesha Koy, Louise Mehaffey, and Lori Lochner. If you're a rec.crafts.beads subscriber, mention it and I'll give you 10% off my beads.
See you soon - Nolly
I'm still pouting, because I couldn't get into that show! My fault for procrastinating, though. I didn't think to try to sign up for it before it was full. I was checking the vendor list, and I see that Jenny Ross (Silver in Style)
Joan, I WAS thinking about you! I was adding a number to my cell phone and saw your name in my directory!
The Innovative shows are filled up in several locations as I learned to my dismay--sign up early for the ones you want or else! Put a reminder on your calendar to touch base with Serita before Thanksgiving. Renu and Serita are probably the best promoters in the bead business-they take care of their vendors, are kind and considerate, and they do great advertising.
All that said, I'd better get moving ... I'm still pricing flower beads!
Take care,
Nolly
I'm back from the bead show. I bought a few things - from Gemstones of Africa, 16mm turquoise in a flower shape, two strands of red bamboo coral discs @ $12.00, RQ eggs, RQ ovals, round bar green aventurine @ $4.00, black pearl drops, lead free pewter spacers @ $8.00. From USA Expo I bought a strand of small discs in Lapis at $20.00 and some Indian Silver and some clasps. From Nolly Gelsinger I bought 6 lampwork beads, and two of Laura Schreiber's. Other than that, all I bought were some needles and two strands of Czech firepolish in mint green for those beadweaving earrings I make. It was a nice show, prices were good, and it was crowded. I hope all the vendors did well. I actually left some stock there, so if you are planning to go tomorrow, there will be beads left I am sure.
