It's here!

I placed my order on Saturday night for my bead loom and a ton of beads for other projects. It actually arrived today while I was out running errands! I can't wait to get started on it. Bad news is I have to wait until I get this parade stuff out of my hair. I am up to my eyeballs in entry forms and other stuff, including 4 Wheatens to groom for their part in the parade. We have about 30 of them in our group this year.

But I am taking a break and doing a necklace with a SS Claddagh connector, tree agate, SS spacers and a SS celtic clasp. I have it laid out right now on my bead board and it looks nice. It will be a little over 18".

I am going to have a problem with the necklace my granddaughter picked out. She picked SS heart shaped alphabet beads. When they arrived I noticed the hole was large and towards the top. The rest of the beads are silver saucers and 4mm sodalite. I tried a few on a string and the hearts don't hang right. I don't know how to get around this.

Well, back to work, if you can call this work. I am loving it. So relaxing after all the craziness of this season! jan

It sounds like you're saying that the heart beads don't hang symmetrically with the other beads, that the point of the heart sort of sticks out to one side? If so, then take that and run with it, making a fan-style necklace. Those are fairly fashionable anyhow. You might think about adding a few briolettes to reinforce the fan formation.
