It's winter in Georgia!

My "Artic Ice" beads just arrived and they are beautiful. Icy, icy and even more sparkly than in the photo. I love them. Thanks, Ellen!!! _______________________ Peggy

I just got paid for a project that I worked on for over three months--so I've been pretty piggy about beads recently.

I can see that I am going to have to get a 3D scanner or camera. A camera would do a better job on the beads/jewelry, but a scanner would be more useful to me overall.

No better way to reward yourself! When the HorribleSibs pay up I plan to buy a day's worth of someone's production! I have been hoping to just buy a lampworker but Mike objects when I talk silly. He says there's no room at the SH*D.

About five months ago I bought one of those small new HP PSC numbers, it has a top lid that lifts up for a scanner/photocopier, it's inkjet and prints amazing color prints, all for under £90 here and probably the equivalent over there. It's so compact and useful, I just love it! And it saves tons of room.

Our old digital camera still works beautifully and with that card reader it's a breeze to download pictures. I saw that the newer model of the HP PSC has a built-in card reader slot. Luxury!

Sure! Who do you like? I mean, if we buy one we have to feed it and buy it glass....

Does the food influence the art? I mean, if we feed our lampworker red Jello will we get red boro beads--maybe even in time for Christmas?

Hmm, there's a concept. I don't think it works with Mike, I fed him pizza and beer last night and he didn't make anything even remotely resembling a cheese pizza with anchovies today. *sigh of relief*

I would love red boro beads but we'll have to buy that new really big torch first.
