TriCord Knotter Revisited

Oct 18, 2004 3 Replies

A few weeks ago there was a discussion about this little gadget and I wanted to post an update.

I was given a few strands of FW pearls to string for someone, which forced me to really learn pearl knotting, lol. Anywho - I tried the awl & tweezer bit, but wasn't happy with the results. I broke out the TriCord once again and really concentrated on the instructions and spent a while practicing with it. Voila! After you get the hang of it (it really doesn't take 12 steps, lol), it does the job nicely and very quickly. I was able to string two 16" strands into one long necklace in under an hour. Granted, I was only knotting every 6 pearls, but still, I felt that was pretty good for a newbie.

Just wanted to share...

excellent I use the tweezers method- or my embroidery needle to hold the knot and move it towards the pearl... your gadget sounds better!!!!! smiles,

Thanks for the update - Bob bought me one last year for my birthday, and I haven't had a chance to try it. I'm going to have to give it a whirl.
