I am really lovin' the Polysparkle! I think I need to learn how to use the Holographic a bit better....I ended up with a disco item!

And...apparently my newfound addiction to embossing powders is taking over my brain...I cannot seem to create anything for the past week without them. I am working on some wooden beads covered with paints and inks and...well...embossing powders, and got the idea for these:

I love stuff like that. I use all my poly mistakes and glue pieces of mirror on them and hang them in my garden and on my walls. LOL
OMG. I love them. How did you do it? I'm just learning about these mysterious powders. LOL
OMTP :)

Hey! Cool idea! I have some fairy and dragonfly wings that are a bit too sparkly for me to make into a doll or jewelry. They would look pretty out in the garden tho!
Another idea to keep me from getting my work done! ;o)

Thanks Debbie...I think they are pretty cute too! I stamped my wing stamp that I got from Sunday International onto paper, scanned it into my image editing program and shrunk it down. Then I printed them off onto transparency paper, put a coat of Opalite Cypress Breeze pigment ink (that is the green iridescence), then a coat of DecoArt Star Lite Topcoat, then clear embossing powder. Hit it quickly with the heat tool. Then I cut them out, glued a bugle onto the center of the wings, strung another bugle onto a headpin, the wings, a 4mm crystal and a 4mm spacer.
I am going to make one a bit larger today for a pendant piece, instead of cleaning house! =o)

LOL
OTYP! (Official Thank You Post) ;o)

How did you attach the wings to the bead? Or is it a secret?
~~ Sooz
I'd take it in a second...if i had the ovaries to go with...darn, so close!
No secrets from me!
I used Duco Cement, which works well on glass beads. But, I would like to give it a good 72 hours before I recommend it as the one to use.

Wow. I'm going to have to try something like that.
