I sent this 10 days ago, just after solstice. But I think it gotten eaten by sun spots or some such thing. We're only up to 4 hours 5 minutes now, but are gaining almost 4 minutes tomorrow. Half an hour this week. In 3 weeks we'll have regained almost 2 hours of light over what we have now.......

It's been pretty grim. Three hours and 42 minutes with the sun over the horizon today, but at least we're gaining now.
It's been a difficult fall, with my brother going to jail and with finances even more haywire because of it. Had to take back a property from him and sell it. Lost more than half the value. And then Home Land Security and IRS get involved with the buyer because the property was in such bad repair it couldn't be used as security for the loan. Took three months, and a lot of expectations were disappointed, and I never knew what to say.
But...... The sale went through. And my son and dear DIL are dealing with divorce because they must. And Mom has moved back to CA where the rest of the family is and will be just as intrusive as soon as she gets over this period of adjustment :-)
And, glory be, just when we'd about given up on our invention, the government is getting interested.
Ah, the return of light.
