Look at Mavis's Easter bunny bracelet, speaking of bracelet swaps, etc....

I love that.
Ok, you talked me into the swap. I'll swap with Mavis. ;)
I think I'm one of very few bead lovers who doesn't care for her figural work. Too Dolly Parton.
Tina
oh that made me smile!

Could you explain, "too Dolly Parton" for the ignorant (that would be me) please?
It's not my style... Meaning I can't imagine wearing it or using it in a piece of jewelry. But as a lampworker, I have a strong appreciation for the work she does!!!

Dolly Parton, the country singer, was/is a beautiful woman, with a great voice, sense of humour and personality. Her stage persona takes the position that if lots is good, too much is wonderful. Her huge bust has been enhanced, her hair is huge, her glitter is not quite as much as Liberace, and she's just generally embellished to way off the map. She is a wonderful singer and actress, and has a reputation as a wonderful down to earth woman.
Of course, I don't care much for caricature or the rococco in anything.
And I love Mavis's small beads (and have some). Like these:
Lol!! Actually, this bracelet wouldn't really be my style, but I love her mermaids, goddesses, geishas...............
I knew you could spell it out for me if I asked, thank you.
I do but only to a point. I like fancy and whimsy in some things, at some times. How's that for being ambiguous? lol
Me neither, but that wasn't the point.
It *was* a piece of jewelry. ~~ Sooz

Perhaps, "exaggerated and toylike"?
I love Mavis' work, though I wouldn't buy it; I love it on the level that I think it's beautiful, whimsical, and skilfully crafted.
I flat-out adore Dolly; I don't own a single album of hers, but I think she's a goddess! Look at her: funny, glamorous, beautiful, strong, outspoken, and self-made-rich! What a woman! She's a Power-Puff Girl.

seconded. she's one hell of an actress, too. Best Little Whorehouse and 9-5 are two of my all time favorites. she always makes me laugh.

That's what I do with a lot of my beads. I sit them by the torch and I love looking at them. Tink's are my favorite right now and a lot of my inspiration.
yeah- I often set a few out while I making up pieces. And I frequently have some sitting by the computer - it's a good place for them to ripen.
I also have a Beth Olson fairy that gets to help out while beading - kinda of a muse type thing :)

AHHHHHH - I won her (Teal Fairy) after all! I can't believe it!!
I have GOT to stop buying beady stuff :)
