moldavite and PMC

I wonder if I could set moldavite in PMC plus and fire it. It does have bubbles in it, and it is related to glass (cosmic made glass), but after coming through space, I would expect it to be stable. I would hope the firing temp wouldn't degrade those strange bumps.

What's the firing temp. of PMC plus? Just off-hand I wouldn't recommend it.

PMC+ is used with glass cabs and fires at 1470F.

PMC+ is used with fused glass cabs, and fires at 1470F.

At that temp. the Moldavite would start to melt and become shiny. Glass starts to slump at 1100, a full fuse at 1525, depending on time spent going up. I think you would lose a lot of the great texture that Moldavite has. If you try it let us know the results :-}

I will. (It's not at the top of my list though)
