Not and AD but maybe off topic? Beach glass pendants.

I just did these a short while ago and wanted everyone to see them. I tumbled these myself and have a ton more but without holes. lol Just figured while my neck was on the chopping block I would see and get opinions. Daring aren't I? You can view scans here:

Oh have I got something for you! I have a lot of them without the holes. And some are really beautiful and to big and thick to drill with a Dremel. I will try and scan them to show what I mean. Harry New Zealand Paua Shell at

OK... these really thick pieces I have to break and do again, because they have fracture cracks in them. Grrrr. But here is 17 pieces I scanned for you to look at:

Gorgeous! And they have holes - they're beads. :) I think the shells would make really nice chandelier (sp?) earrings, which are really big right now.

I have scads of sea glass and have yet to do more than wrap some. Can we see some of what you do with yours?

whooooaaa! those are cool!

the beach glass are neat too --- drilling holes in glass is no easy feat either - how in the world did you manage those tiny holes?

your glass that yoiu put on the page. I am guessing beach glass? You had the paua first, then 2 pics of glass that was drilled. Either that or it was *extremely* clear Paua?

I am wondering what the limits will be with my shells as far as how thin and how many holes before they would break. Never gave that much thought, but I know they would weaken just an an egg shell would if to much support was removed. I will have to experiment.

I hope I don't burn it up before I can find more. I have a link to a site to buy some, but not really sure what size. lol I am going to try and measure this one so I can get the same thing back. I agree... drilling glass is not easy, but I will admit... it was a very rewarding challenge I gave myself to proform.
