More OT Monster Cable stuff

If you're interested in the Monster Cable fiasco that I'm all mad about, check out the letters from Monster Cable on this guy's site; they tried to sue him and collect his monster.biz domain name! They know they don't have a leg to stand on, and backed down under counter-pressure.

If I had a spare $200, I'd go register every monster(something).com I could find and email them saying "SO SUE ME". Hey, I think monsterbeads.com is available...

My boyfriend is having a similar problem with a company in Florida trying to steal our domain name. I wont go into details - (it isnt monster!) But they basically keep fedexing and emailing telling us that we must give over the domain name or they will sue us. We keep saying "go swivel" and are hoping that they really realise that trying to sue a UK company to steal it's domain name is really not on!

Anyway, they seem to have sodded off back to the scummy, slime filled rock they crawled out from now - but I can imagine that many people would have been intimidated into handing over what they are demanding.

I hope all these small companies band together and take the ***** down and I hope they create so much bad publicity for these guys that people are going "erin brockovich who? We only know about that monster case!"

It is all the school-yard bullies that grew up and got jobs as lame-***middle management and lawyers doing what bullies always do - bully people. And like in the schoolyard, these small companies are going to have to stand up to the bullies. Well done you for creating publicity for these 1600 poor people. Keep it up!

I can't believe the nads of some company in FLORIDA threatening to sue you over your domain name! If they didn't think to register it first, TOO BAD FOR THEM! LOL! What a bunch of pathetic jerks.

Yup, its frightening. They have no case, but they have expensive lawyers. Lets hope we hear no more from them though. Fingers crossed for us,please!

The second lawyer letter they sent was going on and on about how much damages they were gonna get from us - and big threats written in capital letters. I can tell you, from a Public Relations point of view, it did not sit well either. Thankfully, I know *so* many cool and wonderful American clayers and beaders - else I might think all Americans are like those yucky Floridian Lawyers and the customs officer who bullied me at the border that time - eek! What a scary though!

The UK is getting as bad though. There was a time not long ago, where these crazy court cases would appear in the paper as another one of those "would you believe what is happening in America" stories that our press loves so much. Such as the amusing case of a woman suing McD's for her coffee being hot etc. And we would all sit back and chortle merrily at the silly stories. But now they are just as frequent here.

I keep hoping I will stub my toe on some county council property someplace and earn me enough compensation for a nice new car, but it never happens. Gonna have to try walking around with BOTH eyes closed now me thinks!

Anyway, here is big curse to all those scummy lawyers doing these evil cases and hoping they get hair nits that migrate south!

No, no! You guys need to *make* the monster beads and then I'd sell them for you on the website! We could all become part of the "Hallowe'en Industry." Great googlie-mooglie! Just think what fun you'd all have! We could even find room for all the wonky beads you consign to the frit jar - they could become instant monster eggs, or smooshed monster eyeballs - or other balls, depending on the size and color...

Okay, now that's too silly. I really need to get a good night's sleep. I can't believe I spent another two hours trying to get PayPal to work again tonight. I HATE PAYPAL!!!!!!!!!!!

Still, if I thought I had $35 bucks to burn, I really would register monsterbeads.com just for the hell of it. I'm still considering registering "beadgasms" too. LOL!!

Off to bed now.
