The arm wrestling match is off.

Su, is your DH gonna try some sculpture and make a SHED bead?

LOL. I don't think sculpture is his interest, he's having fun today melting dots.

Himself says thank you, faintly from the you-know-where.

ROFL.

Careful, you don't want to ruin his image now!

Me too! There are some with white cores but they're not _quite_ good enough as the holes have rough edges. So he has to make more... :-)

They look like mistletoe berries in ice. I remember ice storms where all the leaves and berries would get iced over like that.

Now normally I can give lampwork with bumps a miss but those aren't half bad (remember I'm English and we don't do overkill, I can slave all day over a hot stove producing a 4 course gastronomic feast and get 'Not bad' from himself!). He's getting good, isn't he?

Amanda Nottingham off to write an e-mail!!!!

Oooooooooooo.... pretties..........precioussssssssssss. :D Great for Xmas! Love your domain name, too ... is that for "Tea for the Tillerman"?

LOL.

You know, it's so funny, we love Cat Stevens/Yusuf Islam and have been fans since we were very young, but when we chose a domain name and business name for Mike, it was because we live on a boat and actually _have_ a tiller. Narrowboats have these elegant tillers with a graceful curve called a swan's neck, and one of the first rituals of the day when we're travelling is to get the polished brass tiller handle out which always chimes with a really bell-like sound, and put it on the swan's neck, insert the brass tiller pin and away we go.

So, he really is a tillerman, and I do make him tea frequently. I will admit and you can laugh if you like to, that it wasn't until after we'd registered the domain and all that we realized the connection.

Go figure!

Ahhh.... then there actually is such a thing as a 'tiller'... and it doesn't have anything to do with farming land, eh? lol (I shudda asked my Naval husband)

Well, one who plows the fields is a tiller of the soil but that's not quite the same.

The Navy has big ships with rudders, but it's the tiller that turns the rudder.
