On the up side, I'll have more time to bead...

In case ya'll didn't know, I'm a night-shift nurse in a nursing home. Last night was the very worst night of my career. I got my clock cleaned by a man who has always been quite gentle. I was getting a blood sample from him for some lab work...when out of the blue he attacked me. First, he punched me square in the middle of my forehead....then hit me on the back HARD. So now I've got a huge goose egg on my forehead (thank God that the ring he wore was a cab, not faceted or I'd have a huge gash on my head). I went to the ER about my back...I couldn't breathe without nearly passing out from pain. I've got an enormous bruise on my back now...and I can't lift my right arm more than 6". I can't even lay down comfortably...and I have to type with one hand. I'm just miserable! I'm going to be out of work for at least a week, possibly more, until I get the doc to clear me.

I could REALLY use some kind thoughts and prayers, or in other words, some RCB vibes right now! I guess I'll use this time to try to do some beadwork...if I can. Or perhaps work on the class material for the Boys/Girls Club classes.

I don't mean to whine, but gosh it's been a terrible day :(

I'm so sorry to hear that you were hurt. I'll be keeping you in my prayers. In the meantime, you get some rest. Don't take the head or back injury lightly. From my days at the rest home, the older folks are very strong.

Oh, April, I'm so sorry... my dad would have violent episodes like this after he came down with Alzheimer's disease :( It's just awful to have this sort of thing happen and I hope you'll heal up quickly.

Sending lots and lots of healing vibes (and will be sending you a bunch of beads tomorrow, also).
