One last AD: We are All Cracked Vessels

Moxley's first call was to a mortgage broker, because two of his former band mates work there... they got us the original loan on this house, which was virtually a miracle!

Woo hoo! Welcome to the SHEDded!

What a great idea. Ours is only 6 x 6. Having the extra two feet on each side will make it just perfect.

There's a lampworker in the UK who has a gorgeous little shed, it's been featured on several shows and also in a number of newspaper articles:

Unfortunately the links on her site aren't working right now, maybe she's not updated or something but her work is lovely and she's a great person who has given Mike and me a lot of help and links to useful places.

Good luck with the SHED.

Her beads are just utterly gorgeous and her shed is adorable! The links were working fine for me, maybe her server was just having a bad moment.

I am getting the sense that sheds are a "thing" in the UK. The fact that her shed has been on TV... wow.

I, myself, am ecstatic to be joining the shed club! The extra 2 feet each way do make it simply perfect: I can fit one torching station on one wall and two more on the back wall with the kiln between them. Yay!

She's very nice too, we've had several email discussions and she's been very generous with advice. Plus she makes stunning beads, I own one and am waiting for it to tell me what it wants....

Oh, yes. They're the garage of the UK guys. Most houses don't have a garage or it's teeny tiny if the house is older, but every place with any sort of garden seems to have a shed at the bottom of the garden for the guys. Mike was thrilled to have a shed, since we live on water it's not an easy thing to get a shed.

Pics when you've finished setting it up!

I'll ship Mike over for lessons.

details details :)

Didn't want to give out too much info on usenet ya know.

I've got a friend who has referred me to a broker friend of his to answer my questions.

There is actually a newsgroup set up for Shedders.. Sheddites? hmmm... those in the UK who have sheds. Its not just a building, its a frame of mind. I visited the shed newsgroup for a short time. They wrote with a decidedly sheddese accent, and its not just men.. a couple of gals I know from the rctq visit there as well. uk.rec.sheds Diana
