My folks left left Monday for a nice long cruise to Alaska. Today they were in Ketchikan. I had seen that there is a bead shop there so when Mom asked me what I wanted, I gave her the name (The Bead Shoppe) and address of the shop. In the meantime I emailed the shop to find out what kind of things they carry. I gave her an idea of the things I like and what stitches I can do.
Mom and Dad went in, asked for Cheri, the owner. Mom said she was very nice. She picked out some things for me and all Momhad to do was pay for them :-) I can't wait to see the goodies! I have a large focal bead in blue, black, and white, three "vials of beads" (I assume seed beads) that match, and two "bracelets of other beads" that go with the large beads. Did I mention that my mom is not a beader?
They also found a small bead shop in another town and the young woman there makes her own beads.Mom said she picked up a small glass heart for me at that shop.
Now all I have to do is wait until Saturday when they get home. I may be calling on some help to figure out what to do with my presents!
