Hi Becki! How are you feeling?

Just so you guys know, there are two Becki/Bekis here.

One just moved to southern California from Ohio: BECKI with a "K".

One owns a bead store in northern California: Beki without one.

Hi Sooz ~ It went relatively well. My incision is like 3 times larger than the norm, but thats ok...I can feel my fingers again and that is all that matters to me!!

Good news Beki! and good to see you again. Put some vit e cream on the incisions asap. My surgeon was very impressed with my scars (as scars go). I used Nutrimetics Nutririch oil (don't think you can get it in the US, it is available in Canada.)

What's the recovery time supposed to be like? (feeling fingers=GOOD! YAY!)

I drove through Bakersfield on my first visit to CA -- in my moving van, hauling my car behind me, LOL. And thought the same thing. However, I am through Bakersfield all the time now. It is on the way to Utah. As is Las Vegas. Not all things out that way are bad Vince and I stopped and took some WILD pictures in Vegas this trip, so that he could show people back home. I hope to stop and eat and see shows next time we go through.

I get my stitches out next Thurs. and can take my brace off for short spurts then too. About 6 weeks total for the actual healing...but it can take up to 6 months to determine how much of the feeling will return. I am keeping someone elses fingers crossed that I will get all feeling back! ;o)
