We have a small family this year, a daughter going to her in-laws in France, a son going to his in Napier, a sister-in-law in London for her daughter's new to be born baby, various nieces/nephews camping so we will meet halfway and have a beach picnic. All I am cooking are new potatoes with mint, peas and maybe, sausages. Another SIL is bringing a cold, cooked turkey.Usually, we all meet at my mother in law's but this is her plan and at 86, she wants a picnic (so do I ) and having a husband who hates sand, this is a coup.
