OT (Crafty, but not Beady) Ribbon Campaigns

Has anyone here ever made those little looped ribbons for various causes such as AIDS or Breast Cancer?

I need to make a few hundred for my church and was wondering if anyone had any tips/suggestions for making them quickly, efficiently and as nice as possible?

I've done a few in the past, but I am a bit rusty and need to get them done by late Friday!

Thanks, all you wondeful beady people!

The only suggestion I have for you is to get a couple of friends, set up a good movie and some hot tea, and create them assembly line fashion. You can buy fabric ribbon and mini-safety pins at the local fabric/crafts store and just go for it. I think the last time we did pink ribbons for our mailing, we cut the ribbon in 3" lengths.

Depending on which ones your making, AIDS is red, and Breast Cancer is pink, but you probably already knew that. The easiest way to make them, is to decide on how long a piece you need, and then cut all the ribbon to that length. The easiest way to close them is with straight pins. I haven't had to make lots of them, but they are fairly easy to make and shouldn't take more than a few hours I would think. Hope this helps.

I made some after 9-11 and used a glue (one of the no-sew adhesives) to hold it together. They were pretty easy and quick to do that way.
