OT: Hope your 4th was a good one

Here, we got rained out. A nice, dark, creepy looking storm rolled through about 8:00, and lasted well after 10 (which is the usual time for fireworks)

So, we didn't get the noise from the city fireworks, but the loonies here in the neighborhood were still plugging away in the rain and lightning.

I gave the male a whole pill and it didn't seem to phase him all that much. Imagine that. I'd probably have to conk him over the head with a brick to get him to settle down. LOL.

So this just means that tonight we'll have to deal with more of the "local" fireworks. We'll see how it goes. Some have already started this afternoon. Humph. I do feel kind of sorry for the kids who missed out on the hot air balloon light up last night as well as the good fireworks.

I wonder how many of the people who got stuck at the base in the storm were there all day after the prez. left? I don't care how much somebody would have paid me. I wouldn't have stood in almost 90 degree heat for hours just to see the President. No way. If I had my way, I'd probably be in jail right now. I thought about going down there and standing at the fence with binoculars just to see if anybody noticed. LOL.

I wish it would rain here. It is another hot and super humid day today. I've got places to go but don't want to leave the house.

Rachel T,

You're writing about a dog, right? I read it too fast the first time around and thought you meant a DH. Or maybe I was just thinking about my DH and the way he cranked up the A/C last night to the Arctic setting and then hogged the covers.
