finally got one

For so long now I have been wanting one of the alphabet sets for the sizzix die cut machine and today, with my 50% off coupon at AC Moore, I bought the script die set. $75.00! I am excited! Makes me want to save for more sets! Just had to share with the group that would understand my excitement!

Great!!!! I'm too happy for you to be jealous. I'm saving my change in a bottle to get another set myself. Have not even decided which one to get. What a bargain. Wish there was an A. C. Moore around here. Closest one is

Jennifer, I dont know you but I'm happy for you. I've been checking out the sizzix die cut machine for a whole year and I've seen them go on sale at Michael's at least 3 times... and even when they arent on sale Michael's has a 40% coupon from time to time that would make it a great sale price too... I just cant justify the purchase yet... talk me into it... how many different things do you do with your die cuts... and why would they be better than using a stencil or free hand... I need encouragement. I just want it just because...

I, too, had the same apprehension of buying one because I didn't think I would use it enough to justify the price. But, then it went on sale at an incredible price and I splurged. I, bought one die to go with it and it was the jelly frame. Then for the next couple of weeks, I used my weekly 40% off (sometimes it was 50%) coupon and bought a few more dies like the scallop tags that have 3 sizes, traditional tag, then the rectangular frame and then the small photo corners die. I don't have any of the shapes like flower, or baby items, or stuff like that. I buy the dies that I could use in many layouts. And using the die cut machine for those items are a lot more handy than using a stencil or freehand because of the accuracy and the quickness. To make up some of the cost, I also made several frames and tags and some frame/tag sets and sold them on eBay. I plan to do that with the script letters also. It won't cover the complete cost, but it'll make up for some of it, especially if you use paper you bought in like the paper stack and it was on sale (LOL). Hope this helps.

Hey, I will talk you into a Sizzix! LOL I really like mine and I also have the Sizzlets. Use the alphabets constantly and besides being so professional looking...they are just plain fun to use!! The Sizzix is a good way to entertain a youngster who is at the "I'm bored" stage when they come to visit an old lady. I just sit them in front of the machine, give them the color paper I want and have them cut alphabets,or hearts or ...you get the picture :-) I got a gift cert from one of my daughters so with the 50% off coupon and the GC... I got mine at a steal. I use all of my coupons to get new dies.

Jennifer, I absolutely LOVE my sizzix! I also have the Script alphabet, and the uppercase Lollipop, and Lollipop number set. I have a few sets of sizzlets too. My favorite Sizzlets are the small tag set. I use those a LOT.The alpabet letters fit just right on them, if you want to to the title of your page and have each letter on a small tag..very cool! They are usually around $20 bucks, and with a coupon...hey...that's a good price! I have bought most of my sizzlets through Ebay, and I only paid around half price. I got lucky!! You just have to watch the sales! Good luck! Linda C
