OT: How about that?

Several years ago when I worked at the auction house we got a Dell laptop battery in a box. The owner gave it to me to do with as I please. I never got it on eBay and it sat here in a box at the house. This weekend the slave master DH got outside and we worked on cleaning out the garage and going through stuff. I found said battery.

This evening while I was posting auctions I went in search for information on battery. I found out it will fit my laptop just fine. I have never had a battery in the laptop therefore it doesn't move around a lot. Now if the battery works (it's charging now) I can freely go wherever in Austin and have internet connection. I can sit in the park and play online. Life is good. I'm so easily amused.

I know. DH is still shaking his head about my birthday. I didn't want to go out to eat. We have leftover KFC. I didn't want to really do anything that cost. I just wanted to be outside in my favorite spring and soak up the sun and feel the water run over my feet. Oh, and watch the fish, turtles, and 4" snake.

Well that's cool! What kind of internet connection does it have?

I have a wireless connection in the house. The City of Austin has wireless connection throughout the City at most of the parks and several other key locations. You can use a laptop almost anywhere in Austin if you have a wireless card.

Yeah it is. When I worked for Trilogy we didn't have to actually go to work unless we had a meeting. I worked from my favorite parks most of the time with the cell and laptop. It was really cool sitting in the water with laptop in lap.
