Okay, I don't normally like MTV (or MTV2), but I just saw the kewlest show today...
"Pimp My Ride". They took a daihatsu hi-jet, worth about $400, and "pimped" it out.
It was a beat up white van, with almost everything stripped. The engine was so small, it fit under the front seat. He said it was smaller than a motorcycle engine, and barely made 60mph.
They painted it, took 13 inch wheels and changed it to 17inch, put 2 pull-down DVD screens in the top, along with an airplane "no smoking/fasten your seatbelts" sign, put a larger screen in the side (along with a 3-dvd changer, so that he could watch all different ones if he wanted), put in a wrap around couch (that also held the speakers for a sound system), and had hookups for a guitar (amp) that a local store donated, since he is part of a van.
It was kewl, but in a sense too short, should have been an hour, to take a little more time on the "how each step is done". But perhaps it will stick, as it's short and sweet. As far as I can tell, there's only 5 shows so far...
