I'm down to the deadline. Today at 3 pm I'm closing on the condo. Tomorrow the movers will be here at 9 am. Barring a few minor setbacks, all went smoothly. By tomorrow night, I'll be ready to spend the first night in my own home. Then the fun of unpacking begins.

I'm sort of in. My cats (who have forgiven me for traumatizing them once again) and my stuff are here, but the former owner did NO cleaning whatsover. The soles of my feet are black from walking on the carpet. The refrigerator is so dirty I want to buy a new one.
I can't unpack until I paint which I'll start this weekend.
On the other hand, the movers were awesome! They delivered everything before I gave them one cent. Everything went on the truck and everything came off. They were wonderful. One of them was singing a song in Spanish about a "gato con botas" meaning Puss In Boots.
And now I own this place and don't ever have to move again! I;'ll put pics up on the web when it's done.

Linda -- doesn't matter how much, or little, someone else has cleaned. I have to scrub it from top to bottom before I will put one single thing away -- making it "mine" so to speak. That way, you know it is OK. You will clean and shine that place up and keep it that way from now on!!! The condo will be happy to have you there.
I am SO GLAD to hear the move went smoothly!!!!! Especially after the last one. Kudos.

Yeah - so glad the movers were great and you are getting settled in. The cleaning thing SUCKS, though. How rude. I'd complain to your realtor - part of the contract should have been that the place was ready for habitation.
