OT - Off to the Demo! YeeeHAW!

I am SO excited! It's kinda pitiful... Me sitting here... Ready since hours ago... Waiting and pacing to go to the Sharon Peters demo with Donna and Gini. I'm an "on time" kind of person and I think everyone else in my life is a "not quite on time" kind of person. LOL!

It will be so cool to see someone else work! I saw Robert Mickelsen work, but geez.... That's different. LOL! I mean, it was big sculptural boro stuff with tubing and so on. At least today's demo will be in my "language".

So I've got my high top flame sneakers on, my hair in pigtails and my cotton candy pink lipstick on. I'm Tinked up and ready to go... WHERE ARE THEY???????????????????????/

*pace*

*pace*

*fret*

*pace*

See ya later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You sound so cute! I'm an on-time person myself so I can understand. Please give us a full report when you get back. :-)

Nah... Royal Oak, Michigan. Very tiny, crowded little shop, but lots of fun!

I got to meet several WC folks, which was a BLAST! Sharon Peters looks up and says, "You're Tink? *forgotten name* told me to tell you hello!" It was wild.

She's fabulous... So real and wonderful. I've learned enough new techniques to keep me at the torch for a month solid. All that from a two hour demo... Imagine how it will feel after Loren Stump's class... Or two weeks at Penland!

*swoon*

I just don't know where to start...

It was stupefying, to say the least. It was so cool to see someone else work! Strange, too! I need to let things percolate a little before I can put any of the stuff to use.

Sharon demonstrated a WAY cool sculptural flower that I plan to try. Then she did an encased pond with lily pads and a cute froggie. The culmination of the evening was the most FABULOUS dragon head you could imagine! She's an absolute delight, and I sure wish I was taking her class this week.
