OT-recipe for KathyN-V

Kathy, I keep thinking about your neck. I know this is not scientific, but maybe you'd be willing to give it a try....

According to both Oldefashioned Medical Wisdom and also Sympathetic Magic, the thing to do for your neck's healing would be soup made of neck bones, preferably ox but regular old cow will do...Make a broth with bones simmered all day, add salt, pepper, lots of garlic and onions, and red wine. I'd add some sage, personally. Red wine and marrow bones are both mentioned in many places for healing broken bones and sword wounds. Have a bowl twice a day. Should keep in the fridge for up to a week. Sarajane

Will do. I have a bunch of bones in the freezer right now (DH is a meat salesman), and I was thinking about soup.

Oh yes, I spoke to the doc about the flaxseed oil, MSM and the glucosamine I've been taking, and he gave it the thumbs up. He said he hadn't done any research in that area, but he felt it couldn't hurt and might help.

Ummm. I remember telling the family that I needed to be cloned in order to get everything done. They all started screaming.

When I had unbearable migraines, I was afraid to take the medication. So...I used to dirnk Stingers instead. Sometimes I still had pain, but ya know, I didn't give a damn! Patti

Good!!! I'm very hopefull it'll help in the long run. My back has improved slowly but surely---about a month ago, I started to have less pain than for the preceeding year or two...its a lovely thing. I had also jumped the MSM up a bit---I am doing the 1/4 tsp thing three times a day now. Sarajane
