Remnant of Israel isn't in a Lutheran church. They are meeting in a non-denominational church called Living Waters. They really aren't affiliated with each other--just meeting in the same building. Living Waters owns the building and Remnant just rents.
On the surface, the services are quite enjoyable and the majority of the people going there are honest folks.
However, I wouldn't recommend getting very involved with Remnant--there is something very wrong with leadership that screams and yells at at a member for two hours because that member feels led to start another fellowship. The leadership have also done this to every intelligent member who has simply asked to be informed of what goes on. And anyone who has chosen to go to Remnant and any other religious group at the same time have their motives questioned.
One family was actually turned into the police using false and uncorroborated so called evidence--simply because they were outspoken about the unscriptural and unethical ways that the leadership handle things. Remnant and a particular family that wants to be on the board have ruined their lives and indirectly caused the death of a member of that family. There is something cult-like in the way that the leadership runs the place. Very very scary stuff going on behind the scenes.
If you want to find out what a Messianic Fellowship is supposed to be like, I would recommend looking into Beth Hallel in Georgia or the fellowship in Santa Barbara, CA. The one in Santa Barbara was actually instrumental in co-ordinating a reconciliation conference between the local Christian Churches and the Jewish Synagogues. Something that the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews might do.
