OT: Visiting with my Mom:)

I am having such a good time with her! We've done a whole lotta just hanging out. The first night she was here, we went down to WalMart..got some groceries and whatnot, nothing special. But she had never seen a Super Wally World, so we took well over an hour in there, LOL!

The next night, we just went out for a drive, and I showed her around my town. It was a nice drive.

Earlier this evening, we all went down to dare's school for his Harvest Festival. A whole bunch of little kid activities--face painting, bean bag toss, popcorn and punch. A nice experience. And I scheduled my first parent teacher conference.

We went shopping for meat earlier today, and Mom is planning to cook about

30 meals while she's here, I swear!

I made her sit down for a bit today, but tomorrow will be the first time we've really slowed down since she got here. It'll be nice to do that, because Darian and I have relapsed, and feel like CRAP!

I'm in hog heaven. My Mom is the best, and I wish I could clone her and pass out copies to all who need a good mom sometimes:)

OMTP Doing all those normal mom and daughter and grandkid things is one of the nicest kinds of visits you could possibly have. Enjoy! And thank you for sharing your mom with us. Diana

Haw! I hope you two are having a good time. I've been in bed sick for a couple of days. Bad allergies. Even Trinkett is sneezing and taking Benedryl. It's so sad...me and two dog babies are on Benedryl and other meds. Thank God DH is gone. I feel awful and look hideous! At least he's missing all the sneezing and feeling bad for myself. I do wish he could help medicate Smudges but she's in the house with me and Trinkett and she fills up DH's side of the bed. LOL

Okay, the illness never ends, right? I woke up this morning to lovely sounds of my cat retching onto my bedroom floor, my shoes, the window sill, etc. The moment I opened my mouth to say good morning to my kids, I realised something was NOT right--who poured glass shards down my throat while I slept last night, hhhmmm?

I have been in and out of bed all dang day, feeling like a big baby. My head hurts, my face hurts, my throat hurts, I hurt. Tyler got this mess again too, so he's in the same boat. Plus Darian getting it back--we are NOT happy people.

It's so not fair--us getting so sick when Mom is here. Poo on it. Plus, I screwed up and forgot that I had packages needing to be mailed today, and so there are a few folks who's auction winnings won't be mailed until Monday, versus today, like I had planned. That just makes me feel like a total ass.

Other than wanting to crawl into a dark hole where mucous doesn't exist, yeah, still enjoying my time with Mom:)

Oh Candace...I so want to give you a hug and take away that nasty feeling. I hate that million pieces of glass feeling in my throat. Well if you see my thread about things not to do when you are alone I hope you laugh.
