OT - what happens to a little stream....

Gorgeous pictures. Do you mind if I save them and use them on greetings cards. They are ideal for males. Love Shirley

I've seen streams rage like that too, and have that strange blurry look. It's from the water being smshed into mist.

Actually I forgot to repost later last night and say that I finally did get to see them. OMG! They are beautiful pictures. I think I might save one as my wallpaper...I have had the picture of Kyle at the Armstrong Easter Egg Hunt up since we got the picture back earlier this year, so I think it is time for a change of scenery for my desktop :) Again those are really beautiful.

beautiful Kandice! we don't have any streams up here on our hill, but the frogs are going nuts anyway - it sounded like spring time last night.

Yeah Diana, it kind of is a rain forest here - some areas particularly are considered temperate rain forest - no bright birds or monkeys, but lots of moss, ferns, and fog and beauty. Oh and banana slugs ;-) It's an amazing part of the country.

Here is a link about our temperate rain forest - this one is a few hours away.

Oh thank you, you kind one. Shall I send you pictures of my squirrel and dragonfly that decided to grace my garden. Both rare visitors for me.

Perhaps I should ask Vicki to do me the honours and put the pictures up for me.

Also I forgot to say that I have a new robin coming to visit my bird table. I must order some more mealy worms but I am afraid it is a bit too cold for me to stand out trying to tempt him to fed from my hand. It takes a lot of time and patience. Love Shirley

Doesnt it kind of look like rain forest ? All thats missing is some brightly colored birds and a few non human primates. Diana

Yes! Please post those pics if you can - I would love to see them. :)

Yes, that's for sure. :) There's a lot of moss everywhere - the ground is almost solid with moss so there's no mud. It certainly *feels* like a rain forest much of the time. Very humid here all of the time and lots of shade from all the cedar trees.

Oh, the slugs. **The slugs**!!! You have to watch where you walk - they're everywhere! And ferns, too. And a ton of fog and mist all of the time. No wonder they filmed Twin Peaks here! Interesting information about the rain forest here. Here in the Cascade Foothills, we receive about 65 inches of rain per year. Unlike the rainforest, we do get freezing temperatures though. I just love it here. :) Thanks for the compliments on the pics - but really all I did was point and shoot - the beauty around here is easy to capture. :)

What a beautiful back yard! Even if it is wet. Hope the rain stops soon.

So you really *do* call it a bird table? I love the show Ground Force (the old ones with Alan Titchmarch). They called a bird feeder a "bird table". I love that expression!
