Presses I like

Generally, I'm not fond of presses. The thing glass does with shape is so nice, I seldom see improvement with presses. I have lentils, but would probably have been willing to pay more for the beads if they'd been round.

The two I like I see very seldom. My favorite is the Kalera shaped press. (Hey Kalera, you didn't know they have presses shaped like you, eh?) This shape

I have a stunning set by Annie Divelbiss. The shape works especially well with encased beads I think. With lots of wonderful stuff going on -- like in Kalera's beads. I wonder why I don't see more of this shape. I also like "oval lentils", like this

I'm not sure why I like these but not round lentils. It may have to do with how it fits across the palm of your hand. How things wad up in your palm in a similar shape, including the sharper edges. I'm so tactile that for me eyes are an extension of my skin. I even feel colors, not just as in emoting, but in the way one feels a change in air pressure.

I guess that's why I like clear glass so much. I get to feel not just the outside of the bead, but the inside too.

Tina,

That LMG set went for a steal and her other beads are very nice! Thanks for pointing out that artist.

I'm not as fond of presses either, but I do love the mini lentil - almost the same shape as a Skittle. I also adore cubes (I don't use a press for those, though.)
