Question about findings and metal beads.

I am almost certain of the answer I am going to get after I ask my question, but I am gonna ask it anyway.

Is it really bad to use silver closures with gold beads? I have NO gold closures what so ever, because I don't use it (gold) enough to warrent keeping them taking up space in my small bead box. I recently purchased one of CarolinSLC's kits from E-Bay, and it came with gold bead caps, and gold colored seeds.

Right now I really don't have the money to buy a lot of gold closures. Does anyone have a relatively inexpensive source for decent gold (plated) closures?

Shiny brass should go well with those antique beadcaps, Marissa! I would offer to make it but will have to wait til my broken shoulder heals. Can u wait a bit?

There are some gold-tone pewter clasps, etc. that look pretty good.

Another option wiuld be to use those gold colored seed beads and a gold colored button (or large bead) to make a "button and loop" closure. Kaytee "Simplexities" on

That would be great to have a handmade closure. I can wait a while til you heal enough to be able to do it. Let me know either way after you see your ortho..

Speaking of buttons, Rio has some SS buttons that look like Bali spacers. Cute.
